Summary

Mike Colter and Finn Jones were spotted on the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 3, confirming that Luke Cage and Iron Fist are coming back.

Mike Colter and Finn Jones are set to reprise their roles as Luke Cage and Iron Fist, respectively, in Daredevil: Born Again season 3. This was confirmed through leaked set photos, as the next season of the Disney+ show is currently in production in New York City.

On Friday, photos of Mike Colter and Finn Jones on set with Daredevil actor Charlie Cox and Jessica Jones actress Krysten Ritter began to circulate. Entertainment Weekly followed up with an article of it own, affirming that a full reunion of The Defenders was in store for the next season of Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel Studios has yet to publicly comment on the leaks or on Colter and Jones reprising their roles.

While the first season of Daredevil: Born Again mainly focused on the titular hero's escapades, Jessica Jones will appear in the show's second season. Her return obviously sparked speculation about whether the other heroes from Marvel's Netflix shows would return. We now have our answer.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist all had Netflix series of their own in the 2010s before crossing over in 2017 in The Defenders. Marvel's Netflix offerings wound down after that, with Colter and Jones not appearing as their respective characters again after both of their series concluded in 2018. The set photos don't reveal much about what these characters will do in the new season; they only confirm the characters will appear.

Although Marvel seemed hesitant to acknowledge the Netflix shows at first with Daredevil: Born Again, that has changed over time as more characters and elements from those series have made their way over. Now, it looks like the characters and events from the Netflix series are fully being incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While the third season of this show is still in production and won't air for some time, Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is airing weekly on Disney+. Polygon is enjoying the series, calling it "Marvel's most political show ever."
