Summary
Hundreds of games hit Steam each week. Here are five worth checking out, and they're all free.
A few hundred games are released on Steam each week, and many of them are free to play. Here are five games newly released on Valve's storefront that are all free to check out. Who knows, you might just discover your next favorite game. (And while we're talking free games, you still have time to claim Epic's weekly free selections.)
1 Us Five Forever
Fans of the Life is Strange series or Lost Records: Bloom & Rage will want to check out Us Five Forever, a narrative-focused mystery game. You'll play as a young woman working to investigate the disappearance of her best friend. It teases "a multigenerational mystery filled with arcane secrets," so there's certainly more than meets the eye here. Us Five Forever is the first game from Sunday Studios, a student-led team.
2 Rest Area Simulator: Prologue
Ahead of the full game's Early Access launch sometime this year, you can try out Oriseus Studios' Rest Area Simulator: Prologue for free. It's a detailed slice of the full game where you'll manage a gas station and convenience store. Upgrade your rest area, acquire new products to carry, keep your business clean, and more. You can also play in a co-op mode if you want to work with up to three other business partners.
3 Void of Lilly
Void of Lilly is an emotional adventure that mixes JRPG elements with bullet-hell battles. You play as Ann as she searches for her sister in a city described as "the last bastion of humanity" after society was ravaged by a disease. It shouldn't take more than an hour or two, and expect to pet plenty of cats over the course of your time with Void of Lilly.
4 The Moon Looks Beautiful Tonight: Definitive Edition
The moon has been thrown off its orbit, and it's up to two women to travel to the moon's core to get it back on track. The Moon Looks Beautiful Tonight is a yuri visual novel about self-discovery and finding romance along the way.
5 Fuse

Like last fall's Hirogami, Fuse is a platformer featuring characters made out of origami. You'll bounce between two playable characters during gameplay, and combine the two to use melee attacks to take down your foes. It also features stealth sections and puzzle solving as you explore its world, where everything's made of wool, felt, and other crafting materials.
